Default River Decision

I'm new to 10/20 & I'm not too sure how often this turn is a semi-bluff.

Villain unknown I've only been at the table for about two orbits.

PokerStars 10/20 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

vs. an unknown I'm calling down. getting 10:1 to call the river is a good price as well, you'll see worse J's and bluffs enough to make this profitable. if you have a solid read you can choose to maybe fold the river here sometimes.

Call the river I would rather fold to the turn raise than fold on the river which isn't a good idea either.

Folding the turn isn't an option.

Because you have to call the turn, you should almost always call this river, unless you have a strong read.

When Im playing against an unknown in this spot, I prefer checking the turn and calling the river UI.

What if the flop had a FD on it? Still check the turn?

Gib,

Call the river bet and expect to lose.

Yes I would usually check the turn on that specific board with this hand even if there was a flush draw on it. Keep in mind though I am only talking about when im facing an unknown. If I know exactly how to respond to a turn check/raise then I would probably bet.

You have to call the turn check raise, so by the time the river gets around you are getting a great price on a call and have to....you are likley losing the hand but are winning much more often than 1 in 10 in my experience anyway - af

Yeah I would basically always check the turn here. And sometimes I will be folding to river bets after I check behind (think Ax), so I feel good about having this hand as a check behind and call the river hand.

My turn AF is super low though.
