Default Borgota 50K friday tourney?

Anyone play this yet? The website says its a $250+30 but when I called them the lady said it was a $500+60. Just curious.

Also, how long does this usually take from start to finish? Any other decent daily tourneys elsewhere on Friday? In AC of course.

This is their big tourney and usually boasts quite a crowd. I'm down there on fridays playing but haven't played it yet. I'm going to give it a shot this week. good luck!

ps. It's 250+30 or something like that.

This is a great tournament. With 6000 chips and 30 minute levels, you get a lot of play. Plus, the prize pool will be huge. The couple of times that I've played it, there was over $75,000 in the pool.

IMHO, the tournament draws an above-average field. A good number of the people at your table will know how to play, and you will not find a table full of tourists as you might in the low buy-in daily tournaments at Showboat, the Trop, or even the Taj.

Since the fields often approach or top 300 players, you can expect to be there until well into the evening if you go deep in the tournament. Also, because of the likely size of the field, it's a good idea to get to the Borgata early to sign up. The line gets pretty long as game time approaches.

thanks for the info guys. i wish the noon tourney started earlier, since i don't want to be their all day (if one of us goes deep). we have a party to attend to Friday night in Philly. maybe we will just play some cash games at the borgota.
