Default Voice Recognition

Yes, I searched and couldn't find what I was looking for.

I'd like to use an inexpensive voice recognition (VR) package to get rid of my mouse while pokering. I'm already using AutoHotKey with a gamepad and that works great, so I figure all I need to do with the VR stuff is have it send out joystick button pushes when it identifies key words/phrases. Anyone know of something that will do that? (Like I said, inexpensive, which leave lots of Dragon apps out, I think)

I've briefly taken a look at the MS Speech API and it looks like I might be able to write what I want myself, but I really don't feel like spending the time on it. Would anyone else like to give it a shot?

[/ QUOTE ]When I searched for posts that had the word "Voice" in them from the Software forum in the last 2 months, I found 20 posts about MTH.

Maybe you should try looking at that.

I looked at MTH and it does a lot of stuff I don't need and doesn't do some things that I'd like. Just polling (trolling?) for other options

I hear what you're saying; MTH has become sort of a pile-up of tools, not all of which everybody wants. Almost all of those can be turned off, though.

What features were you looking for that were missing?

Try VoiceFlux at http://www.voiceflux.net. It's free.

I use it along with AHK to play by voice. The Speech recognition is not perfect but if you train the API engine properly and have a quiet room, it should be fine.

I use TalkItTypeIT with my joystick script, I would try the above free software first, but I can say for sure TalkItTypeIT works. I am thinking with all the VocRec out there, there is probably a better soulution, I would like a program to limit the recognition to only numbers so it wouldn't waste time, processor power trying to figure out if I said on or 1.

I downloaded the free trial of that, but I couldn't figure out how to use it with AHK. It looked like straight dictation stuff to me. How did you get it to work?

If you were talking about TalkItTypeIT it types by default at the cursor which when you activate a table of Party is at the bet window usually. I have a button on my joystick that activates the current table and clears the box in the event I need it. Should you want to extend your trial very easy to find serial online.
