Default First eBay selling experience - is this legit?

Ok I've never sold anything on eBay but I want to get rid of the 80 gb iPod I got with the last FPPs I had on Stars.

I posted it yesterday evening and today I wake up to three very curious emails.

This first one was sent to my ebay listed email:

Good Day i saw your item on Ebay Auctions and i have interest in buying it for my Pastor in the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and you will need to send the item to him in the West Africa and let me know if you still have in sell and i will offer you ($500 for the Ipod + $100 shipping) and i can,t wait till the bidding ends and I want you to kindly tell me more about his condition at the moment and also more about the shipment.Payment shall be made by (Travelex Money Order)and i will preffer the shipment through (Parcel Force or DHL Express) to IBADAN, 023402, Nigeria and i will need this information for the payment.

This second one was actually a message sent directly to my ebay account:

Dear Seller,My name is Mrs Mary Jay and i have all interesting in buying your item wish i saw in E bay Auction for my lovely nephew who is in West Africa and i will offer you $800USD for this item including the shipment via USPS GLOBAL EXPRESS/DHL Express and i will make the payment through (MONEY ORDER) wish was told is safe and fastest way to send Money,i will only need your: Full Name: Address: City: State: Zip-Code: Country: Phone: Email: Once i have get all this information from you,then i will send the money order, i will need your reply asap..Thanks....nice to hear back from you. Here is my email:maryjay101@yahoo.com,or you can add me to your yahoo messenger. Thanks......

and the last one was also sent via ebay message:
Dear seller, I saw this Item much evitable to what i'd as a day welding for my grand son who went for his IT Programmes(Industrial Tranning Programmes) in Nigeria. Firstly, i'll like to know the perfect working condition of this item and if you will be able to allow me to purchase it right away, if yes then i'll be glad to offer you $460.00USD for the item including the shipping and handling via USPS GLOBAL EXPRESS MAIL, as i can't wait till bid ends, and also i'll like to ask if you will be able to realease item for shippment upon recieving the payment confirmation from paypal stating that your money has been confirmed. i'll be paying you via paypal. pls if this is ok by you kindly get back to me with your details so that i can make the payment right away...... looking forward to read from you and this is the shipping address below. [b]what do i make of this? why are these people offering me so much above the retail value of the item (which is $349 by the way)? this is the first time i've sold anything on ebay so i'm very cautious but also want to take advantage if these are for real. thanks.

check the DOB on your diver's license as it appears you were born yesterday.

Do not ship anything without the actual cash in hand. Certainly not if they want to get it without winning an auction.

Why is it always Nigeria? Don't they run scams in Zaire or Congo also?

he's offering to pay via PayPal, in which case I would send the item as soon as I received the payment. this seems foolproof...
