She attempted to kidnap a romantic rival.

they were both after the same astronaut.
she drove in a car wearing a diaper to avoid having to stop (aparently, astronauts wear these during launch and re-entry).

I just read the article, and it's pretty funny. But so...this astronaut lady had a husband, but yet was in love with another man? And they just reveal this on the new openly? Doesn't that kinda suck for the husband?

I love this story. My assistant doesn't watch the news and I was explaining it to him and he asked if the attempted kidnapping took place in space or on the Earth. How much better would this story be if this happened on the shuttle?

Yes, I'm surprised that the rigorous psych testing didn't reveal this crazy person. I'm also surprised she wasn't able to execute her evil plan a little better. She was foiled because the other woman quickly got into her car and locked it? Shouldn't a [censored] astronaut be a little better at completing a mission?
