Default semi-ot: live SnGs starting at my local B&M

This is at Tulalip for you guys who are in the Seattle/Vancouver area. I just grabbed this flyer yesterday from their poker room and scanned it when I got home so hopefully I could get some feedback from you guys on the structure

So obv the rake is not good at all, but I'm 99.98% sure that most of the players, especially on the bubble, will be terrible.

So what do you think STTF, can the $225+ buy-in rake be beatable? What about the lower ones?

TIA!

These should be easy to beat. 10% or less rake at the higher levels isn't too steep, and 15 minute levels should be enough for some basic bubble pwning.

This would be a game that I would say Don't ever pass up a push.

I've played fast live structures and you see very few hands a level.

Yerp, perfect for The System. In EP, open push any A and any pair. Around back, open push anything remotely pretty.

Slim, note the starting stacks. There won't be much of a bubble, in all likelihood.

Pretty bogus really, don't see much reason to play these, when you can just go pwn at cash games instead.

Why don`t you just flip a coin...
Although good push-botting gains you some EV, but what about the early juicy levels, where people stack off with TPWK etc...They can`t do these mistakes anymore.
I already mentioned that in an other thread: Live SNG`s are for fun, not to make money.

The starting stack is probably a double edge sword. You will be starting in push/fold mode, which means you will have to be able to win lots of showdowns.

But, good players will probably be not that interested in playing a sit n go that starts with 10BBs.

stacks are too small, levels are not long enough. they used to run similar tourneys as satellites into big tournaments at the nearby B&M and they quickly garnered reputations as flipaments/luckfests.

I saw the starting stacks. They aren't that different than the WSOP sats minus the first level. Those started with 800 and 25/25 blinds. Those were infinitely beatable and it wasn't entirely attributable to the first level so I'm guessing these are similarly beatable. The real question is are they going to run often enough to make it worth being at a poker room and not playing in a cash game?
