6.5: where SB limpers fear to tread
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
BB (t3240) UTG (t1870) Button (t7033) Hero (t1357) Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG calls t150, Button calls t150, Hero completes, BB checks. normally i have no problem completing getting 7:1, but i get nervous doing it between 9 and 11 bb. pushing would be bad, and folding seems too weak. villains were passive. big stack won a gigantic pot a while ago and has been playing tight ever since. thoughts? |

Easy limp, then push if you hit anything on the flop.

Re: 6.5: where SB limpers fear to tread
if villains are quite passive, then i might be tempted to limp. As a standard play i fold here in a heartbeat and let the other 3 fight it out

Re: 6.5: where SB limpers fear to tread
You are the lowstack. An openpush to win one or two blinds wont help you much. Double your stack on a good spot will definitly help you a lot. I think this is one of the rare chances to see a flop cheap and evaluate your'e hand. The price you have to pay hurts but the chance is worth it FWIW.

folding here is bad.
the 75 additional chips you need to put in does not affect your stack at all, however, taking down this pot on the flop will be HUUUUUGE for you. |
