Default PS3 Scalpers, Please Help!

Im currently on holiday in Hong Kong and have happened to chance across some competitively priced PS3s that I plan to scalp on ebay (in the UK, before you flame lol).Have been semi-reliably informed that the Hong Kong version will work in the UK and will play UK games, can anyone confirm this for definite??? Also, which games are looking to be the top sellers in the existing markets??? And finally if i do buy them, which time would be best time to sell them given that they are currently not on sale in the UK ie asap, a month before release, a week before, on day of release??? Many Thanks in advance!

Wait, can I sell my PS3 to the UK from the US and make money on it? I've been stuck with this thing forever.

Aren't the games for the ps3 region free? I thought the games could be played on any machine but the movies can't be.

Your best bet is to search completed listings on Ebay and see what works best.

In terms of timing, the best steady prices (~$1100) were for presale reciepts within 1 month of actual release. When PS3 went on sale, the prices jumped for several days, (~$1500) and then plumetted to just about retail.

Also, Sony said they would be trying to stop PS3s coming from US to Europe at the customs. I don't know how or if they actually stopped any, but that's something to think about.
