Default Warning to affiliates in regards to posting

The ability to use domain names and logos is getting abused by affiliates making useless posts just to spam and pad post counts. This practice is going to force me to stop allowing this if it does not get under control. Stop posting in threads just to repeat the same thing that has already been posted. Those that add something or only do it every now and then are not the ones I am talking to. Those that make 7 posts in a morning often repeating the same things or are not adding anything but spam are the ones I am speaking to.

I try to run the forum with a hands off approach but I feel this is getting abused. Use the forum to answer questions and contact potential players. Do not use the forum just to make spammy posts. You will not only get banned from A/R but you will ruin it for everyone else.

We got some flack for this and have tried to tone it down, and will continue in that effort. I agree that it doesn't really serve the purpose of the forum for this to happen.

PA can you please outline what you mean by this?

contact potential players

I thought PM'ing players wasn't allowed. Can you clearly state how we can use the forum to contact potential players w/in site rules?

Thanks

I meant pm's that are solicited, I certainly don't mean random PM spam.

Seems an appropriate place to also note...

Affiliates using rakeback and *.com nicks should ONLY be posting under these nicks, in this forum on 2+2.

The only exceptions should be affiliates with sponsored forums, where this restriction extends to ONLY posting in the sponsored forum that you are sponsoring.
