Default Strategy for strange rebuy live tournament???

So i'm travelling the world playing poker where i can. I stumble into Christchurch casino in New Zealand and get talking to the poker floor guy. He shows me a brochure for the New Zealand Poker Championship that is being held in Christchurch early april.

Main event is NZ$4000 which is about US$3000 i think. Anyway i scroll down and see a $500 rebuy tournament with $100 rebuys.

I ask the floor guy if this is a typo and he starts f'ing and blinding about how his boss has no idea about poker etc etc.

I ask a few more questions and he tells me that basically the tournament will have no more than 100 players and that it is unlimited rebuys and you get the same amount of chips with your $100 rebuy as you do with your $500 entry fee. There is also the possiblities of a double add-on at the end of rebuy period. Blinds are every 30 mins, first 3 blinds = rebuy period. He didnt know about starting stacks but guessed it would be around 1500-3000 with 25-50 starting blinds.

Considering its so cheap to rebuy, how would strategy differ from a normal rebuy, would you rebuy lots and go all-in lots pre-flop in rebuy period aiming for a big stack. This would seem a good idea however there only being <100 players means the prize pool wont be that big.

Any ideas or questions welcome.

YOu would have to be a real maniac in the rebuy period. Effectively, you can get your chips again for $100, instead of the $500 they cost originally.

This was designed this way, because the kiwi designing the tourney had received a sexually transmissible disease from his pet sheep dolly.
