Default Rivered the nut straight, 3-flush on flop.

$1/2 5-handed.

The table has recently gotten short-handed. I've been playing tight.

Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
BB is a loose, tricky player.

UTG folds, Hero raises, Button folds, Small Blind folds, Big Blind calls.

Flop: (2.25 SB) - Heads-up: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Big Blind checks, Hero bets, Big Blind calls.

This is a standard c-bet from me. I can lay down to a check-raise here.

Turn: (3.25BB) - Heads-up: 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Big Blind checks, Hero checks.

The big blind called, so he might be planning on doing anything from check-raising a draw to check-raising a pure bluff, or a made hand. I picked up an oesd, so I check behind in this small pot.

River: (3.25BB) - Heads-up: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Big blind bets, Hero raises, Big blind reraises, Hero caps.

I figured I'd have seen some sort of weird donk-bet from my opponent (I've noted that he will often bet out of rhythm into coordinated boards) if he had a flush, so I figure that my straight is good.

Final pot: 10.75BB
Rake: .5BB

Standard?

The first river raise is fine (could easily be KJ), but once he 3-jacks you're either splitting or losing (edit: much more likely to be losing) if he calls your cap so there's no point.

Meh. I hate capping without the nuts.

I just call the river 3bet thinking he missed his c/r on the turn.

BTW, I think folding is better than capping here.

I agree, but folding would really, really suck.
