Default (22s) What would you need to call with here?

Ok from the perspective of the BB, what would you need to hold to call my SB shove, understanding that I am obviously pushing 100%.

Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t/t
(Ante: t25)
4 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: t8425
Button: t115
Hero: t8345
BB: t3115

Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is SB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG folds, Button raises all-in t90, Hero raises all-in t7920, BB calls all-in t2290.
Uncalled bets: t5630 returned to Hero.

What are the blinds at? I don't think I can call this w/o KK+, and maybe only AA.

Pretty wide. Definitely wider than KK+, maybe something like 20-25%. Falcone, if you are posting this because he called wide you need to know that it doesn't matter if he makes horrible call, you should just adjust your pushing range accordingly FWIW this is an easy push any two.

Remember the shorty is all in so he would have to lose to the shorty & then you to be busted, so certainly wider than KK.

sam, the reason i posted this was because he made what i think is a ridiculous call, and i was having a discussion with your brother about this and he was saying that it might have been +EV for him to call - for the reasons trufloridagator was giving. so that made me think that maybe i have been playing those situations badly (ie. when i'm in the BB's position, calling too tight etc.) so he suggested i post it on STTF and see what kind of responses we get

22 Here sucks I think but pudge says it's close so who knows. FWIW a big leak people have is overvaluing hands like 22-44 they really don't fair well against a lot of pushing/calling ranges.

Why would you call with 22 when you can still be eliminated?!

Who cares what they should do, play according to what they will do.

edit: shoving 54o here in a $22 is probably as dumb if not dumber then calling it off with the shorty all in in the bbs spot
