Multi - Tabling - Is it recommended?
I have read that by playing at least 2 tables you can get:
a) more hands (obviously...) b) You can comfortably play tighter because of this? Is it true that if you are serious you should play at least 2 at a time? |

Didn't your Mom ever say "If all your friends jumped off the roof would you?"
Most people start multitabling because single tabling becomes pretty boring which leads to playing too many hands. The upside to playing 3 or 4 or whatever tables is you get more action, the downside is you get worse reads and end up playing cookie cutter poker. If you are just starting out, learn how to play poker first, then start adding tables. At first each new table is going to make it seem like you are playing wack-a-mole so either move down some limits or go to the play money tables to get used to the mechanics of playing extra tables where it is cheaper to make mistakes. No one judges you on how many tables you play, and if they do you don't want them as your friends anyway. |
