you played it standard/fine.
an alternative line (and one i prefer) is to just call his ch/r and push over his imminent turn bet. when hero is ahead then villain is only drawing to a max of 6 outs (with a badly played KJ/9J), and usually only 2. if hero is behind villain probably never folds to a push (because what hand that beats AA would ever fold on the flop?) and if hero is behind, when we just call the raise we get a really cheap shot at hitting the nuts on the turn. |
