5/10 - Spew or a Hidden +EV Spot?
Does this put the "P.U." in "spew"? Cuz it sure seems stinky. Villain is an unknown 18/7/1.5 for full ring.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) MP3 ($905) CO ($2703.94) Button ($1012.25) SB ($1465.75) Hero ($990) UTG ($572.75) UTG+1 ($1009.50) MP1 ($420) MP2 ($2004.21) Preflop: Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $5. <font color="#666666">6 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $40</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB (poster) raises to $135</font>, Hero calls $130, Button folds. Seems awful right? Here's equity against a range that might reraise preflop and bet the flop: Board: Ah 6h 3h Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 51.565% 51.13% 00.44% 36951 315.00 { ThTs } Hand 1: 48.435% 48.00% 00.44% 34689 315.00 { 66+, 22, AQs+, AQo+ } But what calls? Board: Ah 6h 3h Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 35.004% 35.00% 00.00% 13515 0.00 { ThTs } Hand 1: 64.996% 65.00% 00.00% 25095 0.00 { AA, KcKh, KdKh, KhKs, QcQh, QdQh, QhQs, JcJh, JdJh, JhJs, 66, 22, AQs+, AKo, AcQh, AdQh, AhQc, AhQd, AsQh } We still have 35% equity against a range that would call the all-in - sets, KKh, QQh, JJh, AK, AQs and AQh. Thoughts? |

Re: 5/10 - Spew or a Hidden +EV Spot?
I think you have a very interesting point.
even, i would not make this move. you are a great dog to a lot of hands, also a significant dog against another lot of hands. His flop raise means to me he has an ace/high kicker and dont want you to see more hearts. also he is surely calling with that. Anyways i really like your point and analisys. |

Is preflop standard against 18/7 at FR? Are these guys ever squeezing?
