Default New Craps game at Luxor (1 die): Die Rich

It's easy to play.
The shooter rolls one die.
On the first roll, 6 wins and 1 loses.
Anything else becomes the point, and the shooter rolls three more times.
If the point comes up on the first or last roll, you win 2-to-1.
If it comes up on the 2nd roll, you win even money.
You lose only if the point doesn't come up or a 1 does.
You can also make one-roll bets on any number. They pay 4-to-1, and stay up unless you say otherwise.

3.7% house edge if my math is right (excluding the one-roll bets)

Im assuming you place your bet before the first roll and the 6 wins and 1 loses means a 6 gets even money and 1 loses?

Or do you place the bet after the 1st roll?

That was the assumption I made to calculate the 3.7% edge...

Is that a 17% house edge?

lol it's like a carnival game how ridiculous that is

they should at least have it 5-for-1 for the psychological aspect

I don't know if dice control is legit or not, but assuming it is, wouldn't it gain you much more ev in this game compared to craps?

That's what I was thinking. I would think it would be much easier to control 1 dice as opposed to 2.
