Default Uninteresting 75 dollar tournament hand - how would you play it?

This hand is REALLY standard but I'm curious as to how you guys would have played it...also, a problem was this player was moved recently so there is no real read...so base your answers off a general opponent:

Stacks: Hero: ~3000
Villain: ~2000
Blinds: $50/$100
9 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
4 folds, MP3 raises to $300, Hero calls, 3 folds.
First question - Raise/call/fold here?

Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($750, 2 players)
MP3 checks, Hero checks.
As played, check/bet?

Turn: 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($750, 2 players)
MP3 checks
Your move? if a bet how much?

Keeping in mind this is against a random opponent so please explain why you would take whatever line you would

Edit: I am less concerned with this specific hand, it wasn't big in the tournament but I am more concerned about how you would play this type of scenario somewhat early in the tournament with a mediocre hand in position against an unknown position when raising will put a good amount of your chips at risk yet calling seems difficult also since you almost need to hit for 300 chips. Situations as these seem to come up often early in tournaments so do you like to put a good amount of your stack in or wait for a different spot with a better hand.

If villain is the type who folds i sometimes fire 400. If hes looser then i check behind since he might peel for a heart.

And yes i like your flop check.

He raises in MP3, @ that point his range is pretty wide, maybe it includes suited connectors/Axs/AT+/KJ+/some broadway hands/most pairs. Anyways, point is his range is pretty wide, when flop comes JJ8 and he checks, you would think he prob bets 99-TT/QQ+, but some people will get tricky w/ QQ+ and check it to you, but also, he might check missed big cards like AT/QK, and a bunch of other whiffed hands. When he checks to you, you can bet/fold, trying to fold out like A high, maybe small pairs like 22-77. I bet around 500.

Turn, I would stab for same reason I'd stab on flop.

I like the pre-flop call. You have a good-but-not-great hand that has draws to starights, flushes and high pair/good kicker. You're in position. You're not sure what villain holds.

I don't like post-flop check. If he has Ax, mid-pair or suited connectors, he'll lay them down, even though he's actually ahead. You showed strength by calling; follow through with a 1/2 pot bet. Fold to a c/r of course.

A 3rd heart on turn? This is why I would've bet flop. But pretend you're holding KhQh. Bet 1/2 pot. Hope he doesn't have Ah4.

Remember that the 750 in pot is 25% of your stack. Take a chance to win it.

I bet 500 on turn and Villain cold calls...

Plan for river If Villain checks/bets?
