No reason not to. You aren't behind much of anything here save precisely 64, and if the SB is willing to call a 4x raise with 64 offsuit preflop, then good luck to him.

Too bad that he filled up. You played it correctly, sparring maybe a cbet, but checking to balance things out is fine, especially since this board isn't good for your range anyway.

Standard play on the turn. Why no cbet though? Typically I'd cbet here and then gladly get it in on the turn when called.

I actually like check behind. It's a good way to mix it up, and you have a decent draw to get a free shot at. It makes a hidden monster and likely something he won't give you credit for.

I think checking behind is good, simply because it lets you mix up your game a little. This is a good spot for it, as the flop looks like it missed you.

I think a cbet here is a waste of chips more often than not. The board is so low and has only the suitedness going for you. Any high cards will call you here and most PPs too. And OP has some outs so looking at a turn card is not a bad idea. I like how op played the hand.

There is almost no need for mixing anything up against 25nl opponents. Just play ABC and win moniez.

It probably missed the villain too. A bet on the flop takes it down most of the time. Making a straight on the turn will rarely be paid off, especially if we don't build a pot early. By betting the flop you usually pick up the pot which is great. When you don't you often get checked to on the turn where you can bet if you hit or opt to take a free card and hope to get paid off if you hit on the river.

Umm no. PPs will probably call, but high cards? Not always. We shouldn't be looking for reasons not to cbet heads up, shorthanded, and in position.

Edit: Cbetting in position is one of the biggest moneymakers in poker. We definitely shouldn't be passing on opportunities to do it HU without a read.

Playing 4 handed is not the time to start playing passively. More often than not our opponent missed also.
