The correct place to fold is the flop, I believe.

JT, overpairs, and sets are all drawing against you. Its getting to be a big pot there. If you call this, just shove.

Only T7 beats you, and no matter how often I lose a big pot with the second nuts I never learn. Let's gogogogogogo.

$0.02

I lost a huge pot last night with 88 on a 4567 board and didn't really feel bad about it. That was heads up in a raised pot though (talk about a cooler!)

This hand is multiway and there are 3 people in front of you that called $100 on a 4 str8 board (great game, huh?). I think you can find a fold here. But with that said, I can't.

This would be tough in a live game, but I think the turn is a clear fold. You are chopping this with at least 1 of the other players and it's not impossible that somebody has T7.

FOLD Preflop.

As played FOLD FLOP.

As played, PUSH TURN.

Discussion:

74o is total crap in any position, and especially after 2 early limpers. Fold this preflop unless you don't care about money.

On the flop you flopped a one card gutshot. The 4 is never any use to you because there is a 9 on the board. You have under cards, a weak draw and,. well, this hand is garbage. You should have folded preflop. Now it's 20 to call and early bet. FOLD FOLD FOLD FOLD FOLD. This call here makes me nauseous. For real. Or maybe it's the sushi I had for lunch. Nope, it's this call you made.

Turn: well, lookie there! You sucked out! Goody for you. Now get out there and PUSH. Right now you only lose to T7, but you want to get as many to fold here as you can. It's difficult since your fold equity isn't spectacular, but a push from you should do it. You have the SECOND NUTS, and you need to make the most of it.

This would be easy in a live game, but I think the turn is a clear push. You might chop this with 1 of the other players and it's not likely that somebody has T7.

FYP

Chopping is +EV in this pot. Given the action, no one has T7.

UTG+1 is most likely to have T7, but he didn't raise the turn, and he really sucks if he has T7 and doesn't raise here.

IF BB had T7 he's probably check raise this flop - he didn't, but he *did* bet out the turn. Okay, perhaps he has a 7.

Push, and chop it with the BB. Or push, and get the other 7 to fold fearing that YOU have the T7. But T7 is only one of *many* possible hands here, and given action, not that likely.

Granted that BB may have slo played this flop with the check call, but that's pretty weak, IMO. Is BB a weak passive??
