1st Hour MTT question??

In Stars MTTs $15-$30 and the 180 sngs do you gamble in the first hour. What I mean by this is....

You have AK raise to 3x, you have been OVER-reraise to 300 from the blinds with no others in the hand at the 20 level, calling is atrocious, you push and hope he folds (Very slim chance @ these levels with those raises) or have a feeling you are racing or small chance your ahead.

You have 10 10 same situation same Raise and reraise amounts, and same positions, you know its not AA-KK 95% of the time, QQ JJ some of the time, probably AJ+ or mid pps'.

Both times I repush with one showing kq os against my 10 10, and the other showing 88 against my AK.

I had a read and went with my ranges that if they call and its a flip im willing to take that chance at the first level.

Just want to know other thoughts, I was real Iffy on the 10 10 hand but had a feeling I was ahead or racing.

I may be being results oriented, but I hate flipping, but on the other hand getting a stack with the structures in these seems to be worth the risk. Thoughts??

I know ppl will be throwing numbers out, which is fine, but I want to know others thoughts/plays in these similar sitations.

it all depends how skilled you believe you are. Generally I know I have some coin flips in sit n gos, but I know I can dictate play without big pots so I generally tend to fold here due to the fact that I know I can outplay my opponents without taking as much risk.

If you feel you are a much stronger player in these fields then I would tend to fold here and if you don't have much confidence in your play then call it because you need to build chips whenever you can.
