I am seriously considering purchasing the book but I've heard the book is seriously flawed.
I am not smart enough to know which parts of the book I should disregard and want help from 2+2ers on which pages or chapters I should skip over. Thanks. |

Just get Harrington on Holdem I and II - I doubt anyone here is interested in doing the work to "fix" tournament formula.

It depends on what type of tournies you play. If you play ones with blind levels one hour or less, buy PTF. If highere buy HOH.

[/ QUOTE ] Actually, Snyder puts the differences in such good perspective that I can't see not buying both books no matter which style of tournament you play most often. If nothing else, Snyder's book will at the very least let you quantitatively identify those tournaments for which Harrington's strategies are most applicable. |

If you can assimilate everything in HoH 1 and 2 and PTF, you should do very, very well in tournaments, if you get lucky.

A better statement might be that if you assimilate everything in HoH, you should get a good return if your practice good game selection. Luck is definitely NOT the issue. |
