check looks like the way to go. I got this email this morning regarding my epassporte withdraw that never hit my account.

Please note that you are a valued customer, I can see the transaction
that was done on the 27th for $1800. In the past few days we have had
trouble with the methods to payout our US customers I'm sure you have
heard of this issues, actually we only have ePassporte and regular or
express delivery cheques as withdrawal methods for our US customers. In the
last four days there has been an issue with transfers to ePassporte we
have been working hard to fix it, that is probably why you were given
dates where you were supposed to get your funds but for reasons out of
our control it hasn't been possible and we apologize for that. About the
person you spoke on the phone with they are from another department
that only handle deposits and are not able to look at this type of issues,
again we truly apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused
you.

Now we can do two things with your withdrawal we can put the funds back
into your account and then you can decide wether to keep the funds
there or request a cheque, or you can wait until we clear this issue with
ePassporte and complete the transfer into your account. Hope this email
clarifies your doubts if you have any questions or comments please do
not hesitate to contact us.

I just got an AP check, regular mail. Requested on 1/18 I believe and showed up yesterday. If you are looking for a check cashout from AP, you may want to do it now as rumors are flying that Chexx (AP's check processor) is pulling out on 2/2.
