What you do when you run bad...

I was curious, I just had a poor session losing about 10% of my roll in various turbo/SNG and two limit buy ins. Most of them were crappy (AK<AJ x2, AQ<KQ, flips, etc.) I am not here to gain sympathy, however ask how other 2+2ers deal with a short term hard losing session. I would def like to hear from Nath, LOL. As for me, I (obv) take a break, and usually eat and then watch a movie, however the movie doesnt entertain me and I keep thinking about the losses. Any suggestions?

ok, here is my first re: post. This is a good question imo. I used to get infuriated, curse the players from the rail, break stuff, just be in an overall bad mood. Last couple of weeks have really been reading this site and one statement from Shaundeeb caught my eye "stop being so results oriented! and get them in there" or something to that extent. It really made me realize that what we are really doing in poker is trying to make our opponents make mistakes, if they do and get lucky, that is the gambling part of the game. You may or may not have read my earlier post introducing myself, but in that third place finish, I pushed all my chips back (in the bb) at the chip leader in defense of his obvious steal with aj he called and turned over j8 and caught 2 eights on flop and the j came on river. I got my chips in with the better of it and lost, and I am pretty sure that I have dealt out a few miracle beats myself. Actually i am sure i have because i can remember a couple of times that i have been called a donk or way worse. Anyway, I try to look at my plays and think if I would play them differently (not based on outcome, but based on cards and opponent), usually i wouldn't but sometimes you learn a couple of things by thinking through them. Just my way of dealing hope it helps a little.

i just lost KK < AK allin pre for $1400 pot... this punch a baby thing sounds like good idea
