QQ in BB
I usually play higher and there this is an insta-call almost always because players normally doesnt just push here with AA and KK.
Have been at the table less for 2 orbits, no read on Villian. 100bb ($200) stacks. 1/2, 6-players Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 1 fold, CO raises to 7, 2 folds, Hero raises to 22, CO pushes, Hero..? And what do you do with: 1. AKo 2. AQs 3. JJ 4. TT |

Re: QQ in BB
I make it atleast 26 preflop and fold all those hands without any info on the player.

Re: QQ in BB
With no history and no reason for villain to think we are 3-betting light, I only call QQ-AA/AKs and sometimes AKo, depending on how I'm feeling.

Re: QQ in BB
Haven't been playing at all lately, so my finger is definitely not on the pulse of these games. That said:
I feel players at these stakes might shove KK here due to "Ace Magnet Syndrome", but probably not AA. I would assume AK is his most likely holding. I'm a wuss until I get a feel for the table - I'd fold AQ, probably fold AK (sacreligous I know, but I doubt you dominate him and probably are flipping coins), and call the pairs to stack off an overpair/TPTK vs a lucky set. It's really the no history/read situation that makes me not want to go broke before the flop with a queen in my hand. |
