Default Presedential candidates: How do you know what they are going to do?

Alright I suck at life and am a political newbie.

Is there a site or somewhere I could see what candidates plan on doing if elected? I would really like to see side by side comparison.

Thanks for the help.

Well, the Wiki article has a list of candidates and campaign websites, but it isn't very concise and has a bunch of fringe candidates listed. I don't think you want to do that much digging, so I don't know how to help you further than that.

This guy is putting together a website about the campaign. It isn't complete, but you might want to offer suggestions.

Check out Ontheissues its a great resource to find out the candidates views. Wiki and even WaPos site are good reference for the candidates as well. If you want to know anything basic you can ask here, i am pretty well versed in the field.

It's pretty easy.

Listen to what they say. Then expect the opposite.

Realize that whatever the individual candidates are saying now is going to have to be modified by the party lines if they are nominated as their parties' candidate. So...don't get too comfortable with anything you read about these guys, especially the hardline stuff.

It's pretty good advice. What a politician says he'll do and what he actually does are often quite different.

This is it, basically:
They want to tunnel your money to special interests. And in return, the special interests tunnel money to the politicians.

Now here comes the good part:
You can vote on who you'd prefer to be sold off to as a slave!! WHEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

This thread is what I don't like about this forum. A newbie comes in here looking for help. He doesn't want to debate, he is just looking for a little information. Instead of trying to be helpful, the libertarians around here take that as their cue to bash the government.
