I would like to see this, if only to see if he stuffs T.O. into a trash can.

Jerry Jones has already hired your replacement as offensive coordinator, and you're going to spend your time there constantly looking over your shoulder. If I were Singletary, I would look elsewhere. |

great person and leader [/ QUOTE ] He might be a great head coach, but is he ready? He's only been a position coach for 3 years. I'd love to see him as a head coach down the line, but I'd hate to see him in over his head and having to deal with Jerry Jones at this point. |

[/ QUOTE ] Are you being serious? He's gonna make 3-4 million a year and take over a team that is probably the most talented team to have a coaching vacancy in a very long time. You don't look over your shoulder as long as you win games. If he wins, nobody is going to replace him. Especially not Jason Garrett. |

Plus, if he does a great job, he can move from this job straight to another if Jones wants to replace him with Garrett.
You think sitting as an assistant head coach for another year is going to do him more good than taking this job? |

It seems that most of the good coaches were assistants in a very successful system with a great head coach. I'm not sure coaching under Mike Nolan counts as working in a great system. Of course the same could be said of Jason Garret. In any event, Singletary would be insane to turn down a job offer from the Cowboys.
