Default Turn raise

Opponent is Arvin, a Wynn 15 regular who plays fairly predicatable, but well in terms of B&M play.

We had a previous confrontation the day before where I raised several limpers (including Arvin) in LP with JJ. He and I had been talking about young players (ie me) and how we like to gamble (lol) and play aggressively. He calls and asks, "Gamble?" and I say "Gamble." Flop is Axx and it is checked to me and I bet. Limpers fold and he c/rs. It's heads up and I 3-bet. He 4-bets. I call and fold the turn.

This hand I have JJ again, but UTG. Arvin is in the BB. I raise, get one ccer in LP who sucks and Arvin defends. Flop is Qu6h3h. I bet, ccer folds, Arvin c/rs. I call. Turn is a blank. Arvin bets and I raise.

Thoughts?

Why would you call the 4 bet on flop in the first hand if you planned on folding on the turn?

turn wasn't a jack and meta-game would be ridic for me to 3-bet and fold to a 4-bet on a cheap street.

no, arvin is older, looks maybe hawaiian? and with gray hair.

Is there something I'm missing here. You put him on having you beat, so you have 2 outs of 47, 1/23.5 and at best you're getting 17 to 1?

Good spot for this line given your situation w/your opponent.

Agreed. The way I saw people looking you up at Wynn and Mirage, there's plenty of value in this line.
