*Warning* bad advice to follow

1. Crap yourself.
2. Curse your luck.
3. Fire $40 and hope he goes away.
4. If called, see #2 and check/fold rest of hand
5. If raised, repeat #2 and fold

Do you normally re-raise that strongly preflop?

Why not just 3-bet it to $24?

Its a little bit bigger than a pot-sized raise. Maybe because of his crap position..?

In this position, I push.

I put in 40% of my effective stack preflop, and the rest is going in on the flop no matter what comes out. A push is barely a 2/3 PSB, and Villain is probably pushing if you check to him with any holding.

Push, puke, clean it up, reload and go about your business.

just my 2 cents:
a re-raise to $42 there with QQ seems a bit reckless. it's fine to raise for value, but if you're called and some overcards come...it's hard not to fold.

If you check/fold here, you turned your hand into 22. Bet 50 and check/fold if you hit resistance.

I think a big part of villain's range preflop is JJ-1010-99, but a read really helps here. If the pot wasn't so huge and stacks were deeper, maybe you could get tricky and check to "trap" and lead the turn if he checks behind. However, if you check the average villain won't give you credit for a big pair and will probably bet the 80-90 even if he has JJ or 1010 on the flop and you pretty much have to fold.

The way I would play this hand is to imagine how your opponent perceives you, and how he would feel with 1010 or JJ facing various bets. I think facing a bet of 50 or so, he will be unable to continue unless you are beat, and it looks too much like a bet that wants a call to prompt anyone to get too creative and bluff raise you with a weaker hand.

I know it sucks to make a bet that only better hands will call, but, like a blocking bet, if you don't make this bet worse hands will make it so you can't call which would suck hard.

Look at villian's stack size, he has $70 behind, pot is $89.

Puke. Check/call or check/fold to a push is about the same. Pushing only gets called when you're beat. Don't build a big pot OOP with QQ!
