hand one is a fold. Hand 2 I need a read. I'm thinking is a call. At a 5$, you'll see all kinds of small pairs and Ax here (or KJ, etc.) and you've got the overlay to make this call unless SB is real tight. You'll see a minraise here a lot with AA-QQ. Without serious read I'm calling this.

Hand #1 depending on villian open shoving or limp shoving can both be options. These ARE both very read dependant tho. If you standard raise I'd make it t400. And easy fold to his push.
Hand #2 I call all day at a $5.50. I can see him doing this with a wide range of hands. |

hand 1 hero folds (so easily dominated; only coinflip vs PP; and behind to an ace)
hand 2 i call here. TT headsup (even respecting reraise) is a call; no way i lay down TT 4 handed. |

Hand 1 - if your going to raise make it 400. As played, fold to his reraise because the only hand he does this with that KJ dominates is QJs. Personally I prefer either a push or limp preflop - tending towards a limp. Yes I have a good hand on the bubble and I am the shortstack, but at the $5s the big stacks are all too willing to get it in against each other and we have enough of a stack not to be desperate yet.
Hand 2 - yeah Im calling. |

Thanks to everyone who commented on this ... I seem to have gone from bubbling < 5% in December to bubbling 40% of the time in January, and am not sure if it's variance, or poor bubble plays ... In hand 1, I folded ... In hand 2, I called and lost a coin flip ... Not being results oriented, but just checking my decision making ...
Re: the comment about big stacks going at each other at the $5s, that does come into play for me alot, but thanks for reminding me ... |
