bet out. Don't take the line, i have QQ so i'm going to showdown. Normal players will not be loosely calling bets on k88 boards so just take it down or get out knowing ur behind.

I can't see how betting out could be the best line here, ever . If you want to go all the way, check/calling has to be better.
VERY standard IMHO. |

Re: $33s - QQ hits K88 flop, I call passively
It's to keep him from robbing you blind with AQ, AJ, TT, or any other hand he missed with but would bet after you check to take the pot from you.
If you check and he bets, you have no idea if he has a King or is just betting to take the pot away from you. If you bet and he calls or raises, you're beat and you can get the hell out of dodge. |

Re: $33s - QQ hits K88 flop, I call passively
If I know villian is a maniac I will often check call it down and expect to win a good % of the time. If I don't have a read I like to bet out with the intention of shutting down if called or folding to a re-raise.
With the bet out line you are never getting a better hand to fold, and you are not likely to get much value...I guess I get bluffed off the best hand quite a bit here, but I prefer that to passively calling two streets for most of my stack hoping villian is a maniac...of course if had a read it may be different. |
