Default Blackjack Streak Bet

At the casino that I play at they offer the Streak bet on their blackjack tables. See Wizard of Odds for info. The difference is that they pay 3-1, 8-1, 18-1, and 38-1 respectivly for the bets. What is the house edge on these? I had calculated them once, but now I am getting a much different number. Thanks for your help.

Default Re: Blackjack Streak Bet

that WoO page you referenced already lists the revised HA on the new odds you listed in your OP:

----------

The probability of winning n hands in a row is simply 0.4751n. The following return tables show the pay table, probability of winning, and return for all four streak bets, under both the new and old rules.

Streak Bet Return Table - New Rules
Streak
Bet Pays Probability
Win Return
2 3 0.225712 -0.097154
3 8 0.107234 -0.034898
4 18 0.050946 -0.032032
5 38 0.024204 -0.05605

The table above shows that under the new, more liberal, rules the best bet is on a streak of 4, with a house edge of 3.20%.
