Default Why limit players are better then nl players at NL

Ok, I used to joke alot about how bad limit players are at no limit. Guess what? They're better then NL players! Why?

Reason #1: They can actually do math.

ok, case closed.

First, I dont think that hand embodies how awful limit players adapt to NL... And second, I ment limit players who transition over to nl. Sorry if that wasnt clear ;x

I think it does! Check-3betting that flop is fine in limit, but it's absolutely awful in NL. I can't think of a better way to get AK to put in less chips.

Then again, you may be right, because Diablo is a limit player who transitioned

from what I gather on that thread, when the action is around to her, there is really nothing else she could've done. The criticism is that she should've led out at the pot, (cue D. Sklansky about leading into PFRs) and that is definately arguable either way.

And yeah, Diablo is pretty, pretty, preeeeeeeeeety good.

No it isn't IMHO, a K72 board is the type of board that probably hit one of her two opponents, I could see an argument for checking if the board was 742.

The problem with checking is that anything she does when the play gets back to her looks like a set. I mean in a limit game she's probably going to be able to get a a sizeable pot in against AK no matter what she does, but checking that flop really leaves a lot of money on the table IMHO.
