Default 25NL FR: Two interesting consecutive hands with the same villain

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum, and also new to NL cash games; Though I've been around quite a bit of limit cash games and NL tourneys. Earlier tonight I got involved in a couple of biggish hands, and I just wanted to see what you guys thought about the decisions I made. I don't really know whether to post the outcomes of these hands or not, b/c I'm obviously I'm not familiar with the forum, but I think I'll show the outcome of one of the two:

Poker Stars
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.10/$0.25
8 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
6 folds, SB calls, Hero checks.

Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($0.5, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

Turn: 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($0.5, 2 players)
SB checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $0.5</font>, <font color="#cc0000">SB raises to $2</font>, Hero calls.

River: K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($4.5, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">SB bets $10</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises all-in $46.85</font>, <font color="#cc0000">SB calls all-in $7.75</font>.
Uncalled bets: $29.1 returned to Hero.

Results:
Final pot: $40

The guy ended up having 6d 6h, and I was actually shocked to see it. For starters, was that the right move on the river? or should have I been wary of that? Anyways, the next hand I got involved in another hand with the same player and I a bit frustrated at the time:

Poker Stars
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.10/$0.25
8 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is SB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
5 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises to $0.75</font>, Hero calls, BB folds.

Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($1.75, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $1.25</font>, Button calls.

Turn: 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($4.25, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $2</font>, Button calls.

River: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($8.25, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $2</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises to $11</font>, Hero calls.

Results:
Final pot: $30.25

I guess I wanted to see if both of those river moves were good or not, despite the outcomes. I played both of those hand a wee bit unorthodoxly though, and realize most people will tell me I should have folded the 10 7 preflop, but please disregard the preflop play. I felt a little on tilt when I made the call on the river in the 2nd hand, but wanted to get some input.

Thanks,
Joe

Hand 1: well played.

Hand 2: Well played. Bet more on the turn. River is sexy.

Welcome to the forums. In the future I would recommend posting two hands seperately. It is easier to give feedback.
Also, posts can develop better if there are no results to skew people's opinions.
Hand 2, as you said you have to fold pf. If you feel you are tilting, take a break. Walk around, get a glass of water, whatever but dont play until you are thinking logically. You flopped a straight and most likely villain doesnt have diamonds. Overbet pot and make him pay to draw to a flush. If he calls I would push non-heart turn

Hand 1. Fold pf. As played I think you have no choice but to go broke in this hand. You flopped trips with a K kicker in a battle of the blinds. Cooler

hand 1 played fine. Not many people will not go broke here.
I might survived it had the K not arrive..

hand 2. How come we are sure villain don't have harts? Bet more the river (at least a 1/3) and fold to a big raise

If the K hadn't arive I would go broke in the first hand.

All modest players do raise pp's in the SB? Don't know if he is one but I think there aint a big change he doesn't raise a pp.

And because you see a lot of Q4s, T4s, 54, 43 in this spot too I would never fold.

Hand 1: I occasionally raise this preflop. People love to limp/fold their SB.

Flop: PLEASE POT THIS. Realize villain can be slowplaying a 4, yours is likely better. Bet to build the pot, and theres some potential draws as well. Spade, 3, 5, 7, and 6's are all bad cards.

Turn: Good. He CR's you, calling is fine cuz you got trips! and position.

River: Full House. So standard, I am happily getting AI for like 3 buyins here. Not even 1 buyin deep I would be wetting my pants when he leads this river.

Hand 2: Preflop FOLD. Remember Position? I'm potting the flop and the turn to protect vs lone hearts.

River theres so many 2pairs iunno. Such a sick spot.
