the wierd beat is Denver keeps getting slammed with snow, and it keeps missing the ski resorts, for the most part. we've had more snow than we know what to do with, and we're getting more this weekend!!!!

I haven't been skiing yet this year. Just had knee surgery twice, but im gonna go for the first time in a couple of weeks.

Usually i hit it REEEEAAAALLLLY hard when i ski (ive been skiing since i could walk). Hopefully i can get myself to take it easy, so the knee holds up.

nowags-
This has been a very frustrating winter. Doesn't mother nature know the snow is supposed to stay in the mountains? Let me know how your knee holds up and maybe we can go up sometime. I'm always looking for someone to push me and me better.

wowace-
nice little cornice hit there. how has the snow been in sweeden this winter?

And speaking of cornices, I hit one today going WAY too fast. Ended up landing on my feet but in the backseat. Couldn't recover before hitting a field of moguls/chop, lost a ski and slid ~100ft down the mountain. A kindly older gentelman was nice enough to grab my lost ski and bring it down to me. He said, "If it makes you feel any better you looked really good."

It didn't.

You can kind of see the cornice in this picture:

I'm in Boulder

I can't stop posting pics, lol

Almost forgot, I saw one of the scariest things I have ever seen on the mountain. A skier fell in the lake chutes and slid headfirst down the mountain over a 6ft rock outcropping. He seemed to be fine though. Atleast he wasn't there when i went back up.

thanks.

it's been really bad this winter, the winter came really late and the temperatures has been through the roof if you compare it too winters a few years ago.

i haven't actually been riding anything this winter, i got such a long way to the closest decent mountain. i haven't been riding for more than last season if you don't count a few seasons when i was really young, but i love it! (hope that makes sense, heh)

i'm planning on going on maybe 2-3 week long trips this winter, hopefully.
