OOT Help me design a good Cardio workout
Hey, I lurk here a lot and have noticed in the past a lot of you guys lift/ have pretty good knowledge about it. I am about 3 weeks from finishing my bulking (I lift every other day with a friend, and take Whey Protein / Multi Vitamins). I'm about 5'7 165-170 right now and after my cutting phase i'd like to weigh a solid 150. I bought Hydroxycut hardcore pills to help with the fat burning and get definition, now I just want some advice on what a good cardio workout looks like, and how many days a week I should be doing it.
I will still be lifting during my cutting phase, but probably only 2-3 times a week, and not nearly as hard (is this a bad idea?). Here is what i'm planning on doing for Cardio once I go on my hydroxycut Solid Jog for 20 minutes Bike for 20 minutes Back on the track and sprint the straight aways/ walkl the curves for 20 minutes. Repeat 5 days a week. So 1 hour of that cardio 5 days a week. Is this good? bad? Too much? too little? Thanks in advance OOT, -LightsOut p.s. - Mods if i'm in the wrong forum I apologize, and you can move this to wherever it need be. |

Re: OOT Help me design a good Cardio workout
Id go with 30 to 45 minutes of cardio 5 days a week, in the form of sprints, why waste your time going from teh track to a bike back to the track. Just find a good hill, and do jingle jangles for 30 minutes.

Re: OOT Help me design a good Cardio workout
something like two 30-45 min jogs twice a week, and 2 interval days on the track (like sprint 100 m, slowly jog 100m for 4-5 laps) would be more than enough. You could also interchange the jogging with the elliptical machine or stair climber so you don't hurt your knees or get shin splints.
