Default Beat: I lost the lottery

I'm starting to think powerball is rigged. I bought $5 in tix for the second drawing in a row, and won absolutely nothing, let alone the jackpot.

And I really loved one set of #'s I had. I felt pretty confident going in that all 6 #'s were going to hit.

Back to the drawing board.

Play more Keno. It's like practice for the lottery.

No, I'll never play keno again if I can help it. I think keno beats are even worse.

Back in my college days, I thought I had figured out a system to beat keno.

Brag: I had 8 winnings sessions in a row with the system.

Beat: I lost double my previous winnings in the 9th session.

Apparently my math was off with regards to the system.

One of the dudes who programmed the RNG for the Keno machines found a system. He could win 3% of the time. Sick stuff.

Could be worse:

BENSALEM -- Stephen Wilkinson was feeding 50 cents a pull into a slot machine at a new Pennsylvania casino when a message board attached to the machine lit up.

The message told Wilkinson -- by name -- that he had won $102,000 in a power play jackpot. The woman next to him screamed with excitement.

But Wilkinson's six-figure payday was short-lived. Casino officials soon informed the retired carpenter that the message was sent in error.

"They offered me two comps for the buffet," said a deflated Wilkinson, who lives in Feasterville.

My wife and friend have both known different people who quit their job because they KNEW they were going to win the lottery. One lady said God told her.

And they need to protect us from internet poker. pfft.

I think I may have heard of this guy. He was banned from all of the keno parlors, right?

Didn't read the link, but if I'm this guy, I'm filing a civil suit against the casino. At minimum he should be able to get a settlement better than 2 buffett comps.

This is a situation where I could believe the person when they say it "caused them mental suffering and anguish".
