Default 50NL Relatively basic PF spot

Holdem No Limit - $0.5 BB

Button ($114.45)
SB ($100.57) [Hero]
BB ($114.37)
UTG ($46.50)
MP ($22.98)
CO ($78.47)

Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Preflop: (6 players, $0.75)
UTG folds, MP calls $0.50 and raises $2, CO calls $2.50, Button calls $2.50, Hero raises to $8.25, BB folds, MP raises to $22.48 and is All-In, 2 folds, Hero ???

---

No reads on either of the players.

How do you like the initial re-raise? What's your move to the 4-bet push by the shorty?

The initial reraise is fine once in awhile (I wouldn't reraise AQ all the time with two callers of a bet)...the fact that you have no reads makes it tricky. If MP had folded but CO or Button pushed, I would say insta-call because they're sitting with 55-99 but if the original raiser is that eager...Tough spot. If you call, it's marginal at best. It's unlikely he's raising a hand that you beat. Fold.

Why would you ever do this with a shortstack in the mix if you're not going to put the rest of it in here? (sure, i guess ideally we take it down and feel nice about our squeeze play, but you know it never seems to work out that way in spots like these...)

I think its ok to reraise AQ from the blinds, against a short stack i think a flat call would be preferable. Unless you have a read that says otherwise what kind of hands are 4 betting pre flop? Im sure you're dominated here, fold.

If I read that correctly, you have to call ~14 to win ~36. That's ~2.5:1

If you're going to fold getting those odds, don't 3-bet. As played I'd call because shortstacks tend to suck and I've seen so many mid PPs in that spot that I think calling is +EV

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 36.559% 28.36% 08.20% 332182848 96004986.00 { AQo }
Hand 1: 63.441% 55.24% 08.20% 647023116 96004986.00 { 88+, AQs+, AQo+ }

Preflop is fine, call the all-in.
