Does my computer just suck?

Why is it that when ever I try to watch a video on YouTube, half way through it...even if its fully downloaded...the screen and sound starts to skip like the feed is not coming through fast enough. This does not happen when watching a video on Media Player.

Anyone know whats up and if I can play YouTube vids on Media Player?

whenever my comp lags at all or has sub par performance here is what I do:

spyware scans
defragment
disk cleanup
antivirus scan

Have you posted your computer specs anywhere? Cuz that'd really help a potential fixer know how to correctly diagnose your problems.

Where can I find my computer specs.? Would that just be in My Computer. I have a Dell Inspiron 1100 with 7.69 G of free space. Sorry I am not that great with computers. I actually just call it my gambling box.

control panel - system - general tab

That will tell you what processor and how much ram you have. I reaaly doubt its the speed or amount of ram that is causing you problems. I use a pentium 2 266 with 256 megs of ram thats about 10 years old for downloading stuff and am able to stream video from various sites without a problem.

it could be a slow HD and you cant read the data fast enough.
