NL$100, Trip 2\'s Push on flop?
I honestly don't really know what to do in these spots. Get
all in on flop, standard 3 bet,or call and push on turn? Is standard to 3-bet if there's a drawy board, and call on flop without? No Real Reads-World PX. NL $100 Texas Hold'em (No Limit) Note: seat IDs range from 1 to 6 Seat 2 (playing) : Player 2, amount $91.70 Seat 4 (playing) : Hero, amount $158.80 ** Dealing Down Cards ** Dealt to Hero: [2c, 2s] Hero: Raise ($4) Player 5: Fold Player 6: Call ($4) Player 1: Fold Player 2: Call ($3.50) Player 3: Fold ** Dealing Flop ** Community cards: [2d, Kc, Jh] Player 2: Check ($0) Hero: Bet ($10) Player 6: Fold Player 2: Raise ($20) Hero: Pushes All In |

Re: NL$100, Trip 2\'s Push on flop?
With position in this hand and considering villians stack i am happy to call this bet with the intention of raising the turn. Pushing flop as you have gives hands like KQ a chance to get away from the hand and on a board where you are really only afraid of QT as a draw i am happy to give him some rope and let him hang himself. If the board contained a flush draw i dont mind your push as much.

Re: NL$100, Trip 2\'s Push on flop?
sounds good, any others? are hands like Q,10 likely here enough to 3 bet on flop?
Also, does my manual convert suck? any better ways of doing it? |

I don't think a push is bad unless you have a very tight image.

I bet you he has KJ (any K if he's an idiot). Good shove; if he's making this donk raise on flop I could c him being the kind of player calling with any K. NH. Who doesn't reraise preflop JJ or KK? You're ahead 99.9999% of the time.

Re: NL$100, Trip 2\'s Push on flop?
Yes i think you are never behind here and that is not my concern. my concern is getting as much value as possible out of the hand if he has a lone king and pushing gives him every chance to get away. After calling turn and letting him bet turn he will then be commiteed to calling a turn push with more than half his stack in the pot.

I'm not scared of being behind, I just wanna know what the best line to get all the money in is, with taking minimal risk against draws. Thanks for the replys.

Re: NL$100, Trip 2\'s Push on flop?
$87 left in effective stacks and a PSR is to $71 - generally when I make a re-raise it's less than a PSR, and that would especially be the case with a set when I want action. If the dude is check-minraising you he probably isn't that good to begin with, I'm okay with making it $45-$50 and getting the rest in on any turn. Calling and shoving turn (assuming he leads, or making a 3/4-ish PSB if he checks) is okay as well.
