Dell 3007WFP Help

Hi,
I am trying to setup a Dell 3007WFP. My video card is a VisionTek x1300 PCI Express, which is Dual Link DVI Compatible.

If I plug just the dell in and try to boot the computer, nothing is displayed on the screen. If I plug both the dell and another monitor in, the 2nd monitor displays fine and the dell is recognized in the display settings, yet nothing is displayed.

If I unplug the dell dvi cable, it goes into a self test, displaying a red screen, blue screen, green screen, etc.

This video card is a couple years old. Should I buy a different video card? If so, what would you recommend?

Wow...I'm stumped...your card *should* work unless I missed something. Have you called Dell support? Perhaps you have a bad monitor?

Wouldn't hurt to ensure you have the latest drivers for your card....but that card should drive that monitor AFAIK.

I went out and bought a new video card...same thing.

I called dell they are sending me another monitor. Hopefully that works!

Dell Support is trying to tell me that the 3007WFP only works with these video cards:

NVIDIA® GeForce® 7900 GS
NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX

NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX

probably. their website says the port is "
DVI-D (dual link) with HDCP "... dual link DVI is dual link DVI. The HDCP shouldn't even come into play here.
