I play it the same and fold the river.

You are losing to any J, 22, 55, 66, 77, 98, and 43.

I think all of the above hands are good possibilities except 55 and 43.

My $.02

I squeeze PF to like 450, if MP 4-bets I fold. If MP folds and button calls I'd be shoving any flop.

Rob - Why would a Jack check the flop after raising PF?

Shaun- as you play alot of these tournys - when people are switching to 2.5xBB this early, is this 99% of the time a particularly weak hand, in your experience?

I was going to say raise to 360 & fold to reraise. I guess you're making it 450 so Villian is getting < 2:1?

If BB calls and Opener folds, why do you go all in on any Flop risking so much? BB has to have a good hand wouldn't you think?

Good point. This observation probably eliminates most Jx holdings (although I've seen more than one player "slowplay" TPTK). So unless he flopped or turned a set, the hero is probably ahead.

I call the river bet, knowing I'm either ahead or paying off a set.

Well, I checked the river to get to a cheap showdown or to get a missed draw to bluff at it. I was thinking that 500 would seem the amount a bluff would bet, so when he bet 500, I lol'd and instacalled.

Of course, Villian had J6s. Nh buddy.

This is why I looked back particularly at his PF raise, 120 at 25/50...and wondered whether a raise in this situation wouldnt have been better.

If I do reraise Pre-flop, I think I fold to a reraise from the BB (allin-although this is close) or the initial raiser and call if Button pushes. If flat called by anyone, im cont betting any flop, 2/3 against MP3 and allin against Button.
