50NL: Set on 3-Flush Flop
No reads on short-stack Villain here. I think I f'd this one up bad. I wanted to keep it small, because of the possibility of the flush being out there already with the limping that occurred. I don't have a problem with betting/calling small push (if he has the clubs, he has the clubs), or just putting this guy in on the river if the last club doesn't hit, but I have to believe I'm beat here.
Where'd I go wrong? Anyone raising the flop? Re: 50NL: Set on 3-Flush Flop
I'm raising here most of the time. There's just too many players in the hand to let them peel off a cheap club.
Plus, I'm raising the naked Ac here most of the time too and I need some balance. |

Re: 50NL: Set on 3-Flush Flop
I think if you call the flop bet, then you should check/call the turn.
In general, I like raising on the flop to $7.50 and seeing how the action goes from there. As played, folding the river is good. No way villain doesn't have at least some kind of club. |

[/ QUOTE ] I'm usually raising in this spot too, but this one played out like it was (which is why I felt that I f'd it up) -- therefore, lost/confused. I don't like them getting a free shot at this on the turn either, but I wanted to see what the next street had brought before making a decision. |

Re: 50NL: Set on 3-Flush Flop
I raise the flop to 4.50. If this gets me HU with the short stack; I push the turn. Villain won't always have a made flush; QJ, A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Jx, A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Qx, and possibly even weaker hands will call.

Raise flop; fold river as played.
