Full Tilt Poker
Limit Holdem Ring game

6 players

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG folds, Hero raises, CO 3-bets, Button calls, SB calls, BB folds, Hero calls

FLOP: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
SB checks, Hero checks, CO checks, Button checks.

Regardless, I think I donk this flop in hopes of an overpair raising between the two behind me so I can 3bet.

I prefer a bet/3bet line on this board because CO is checking behind if he whiffed overs without a club and if he does have an overpair he'll likely raise. Watching this flop get checked through 4 handed sucks and it will happen a reasonable amount of the time as CO would have to be nuts to bet the flop 4 handed with UI overs no club.

Betting the flop isn't any good. You have a chance to trap 2 people and CO is betting a lot. When he doesn't BT will bet a lot too. Leading doesn't protect your hand. If someones going to call a crappy club or gs for one, which is a terrible play here, they'll call for two as well. Instead of trying to protect here we should go for value.

On the turn, 3-bet. His play reeks of a big hand or maybe Jx, but there are a lot fewer flushes then 77/Jx. Plus you have a big draw to a FH/quads.
