Re: Some 9h $200 nl hands
Hand 1
I like a flop raise. You don't want to let A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Kx, Ax K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Qx etc. see a cheap turn, as they have 12/13 outs. Also, any of these (worse) hands might call a raise, or push. |

Re: Some 9h $200 nl hands
Hand 1: I like a b/f on the flop and reevalute turn if I get called. The turn card is ugly, the bet size of the vilain is strange/weak, with a read i can fold or push, without a read i usually fold.
Hand 2: I call the river too but it's a crying call. If your opponent has half a brain your calling for a shop. Hand 3: Tough spot, I cannot find a lot of hands which have a 6 except 65s. I fold too but his line is really really strange and I'll be more inclined to call with marginal hands against this particular vilain if I didn't shown much strengh and he bet the river again. |

Re: Some 9h $200 nl hands
Hand 1. The line taken isn't bad. A more high variance (not sure about EV) is to bet flop to see where you stand and show him you don't mind the hearts. Ah Kh*1 and AA*6 are the only hands you really fear, right?
Hand 2. Agree with OP. Hand 3. 53*12 (?) and 65*12 might do this, as would 44*6, 77*6, A4*9 (?), AK*9 (??), A7*9 (?), AQ*6 (???). Of these you beat 53 and split with AQ. Fold unless he floats with junk and likes to bluff river. |

Re: Some 9h $200 nl hands
hand 1 is very good. hand 2 i fold the the flop or raise the flop if villian likely has nothing (but i almost always just fold) hand 3 i think you played badley. id bet half the pot on the turn and check the river. that seems like a no brainer to me but maybe you could tell me why you checked. yeah we see ak somtimes here, but i say we see at and aj more than enought o get value and control the betting. i really really like hand # 1 though.

Re: Some 9h $200 nl hands
Thanks for all your replies, I really appreciate them. Hand 1 does seem standard, yes. On hand 2, Daladiesman, you'll see that I'm getting a great price on the flop to call with my OESD. The only part I was concerned about was the river call. I couldn't see him calling my pot sized turn rr with a flush draw, but that is indeed what he had.
Hand 3 I just checked the turn to mix up my play a bit, and keep the pot small. When he lead out on the river for a psb, it confused me. I couldn't see many missed draw hands, so figured he had a lower ace that 2paired somewhere along the way. Again thanks for your replies, I'm sure I'll post a few more later tonight after my session |
