Good 10/20 game in Vegas?
I will be in LV this Tuesday/Wednesday and I am planning to play some 10/20. In ya'll experience - what are the best spots to play? I am looking for fish and a non-smoking room, preferrably on or near the strip. Looks like only Mirage and Red Rock are offering regular 10/20 games... what you think? I hate the room at Mirage, it's so tiny.
PS. I am assuming that a $1500 bankroll should be enough for 2 sessions? Thanks. |

Re: Good 10/20 game in Vegas?
Your best bet is the Bellagio 8/16. Juiciest tables. But the Wynn is a nicer room and their 8/16 is just fine (plus they use all $2 chips, whereas the Bellagio is annoying and uses reds and blues mixed together, slowing everything down). Mirage 10/20 is a tighter, worse game -- generally.
$1500 is plenty for two sessions of those 8/16 games. If you might move up to 15/30, bring about 2k-3k. |

I like the 8/16 game at the Bellagio but the mixed chips is annoying as stated. Next time in LV (soon) I will try the Wynn.

I normally play $15/30 at the Bellagio, but i would highly recommend $10/20 at the Mirage. Plus they have Carnegie Deli, which is +EV.

I agree with Joker. Bellagio 8 is rich. Wynn game is good too and room is nice, but the waitresses are so distracting.

Re: Good 10/20 game in Vegas?
So I am back and the results are as follows....
I played for about 6 hours at Belagio on Tuesday and for about 5 hours at Wynn on Wednesday. Probably not nearly enough of a sample to come to definitive conclusions, but... the game at Wynn was incredibly donktastic (9BBs/hour). The proximity of the Ferrari dealership kept bringing in donators. The game at Belagio was not bad, but tight overall, with about 6 locals at the table (1.2BBs/hour). And the thing about using mixed chips is sooooo true - after a while (and a few instances of being short-changed by the dealer) it became a major point of annoyance. I am not going back there - Wynn all the time for me! Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread! |
