10/20: River bluff?
SB is a 40/25 who isn't that great. He can be tricky but he just puts himself into too many bad spots pf and has been zigging when he should be zagging postflop. I would expect him to 3b just about an Ax pf, as well as any broadway and some random suited/trash.
UTG+1 is pretty much the reason to be in the game: 53/10, clueless basically. Full Tilt Poker Limit Holdem Ring game Limit: $10/$20 6 players Converter Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG, folds, UTG+1 (poster) checks, Hero raises, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds, UTG+1 calls. Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (7SB, 3 players) SB bets, UTG+1 calls, Hero raises, SB calls, UTG+1 calls. Turn: 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6.5BB, 3 players) SB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero... I'm really not sure about that flop donk, no idea what it means. I decide I'm going to see if I can get to the river and obviously that turn card is awful. River: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6.5BB, 3 players) SB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero... Pretty sure I can rule out an A from BB and UTG, but I really doubt I win by checking. Who bluffs here, and how spewy am I in general? |

Re: 10/20: River bluff?
PS I know this hand is hard to comment on because its dynamics, texture, blah blah, but I really have no idea what to expect here. Its the hand from tonight I felt most lost during. So thanks for any help.

Re: 10/20: River bluff?
I don't really like the flop raise; I don't see what it accomplishes. Given how you have gotten to the river, I think the bluff is worth running provided the players can fold say a pair of 3s and K high.
I really think this is a hand where you can peel the flop and fold the turn unimproved. |

Re: 10/20: River bluff?
i wouldnt raise the flop and i wouldnt bluff the river against a calling station and a lag. btw, the lags flop donk means he has a pair or a draw. his subsequent action looks like he has a pair or a flush draw. i imagine you get looked up 100% of the time by a pair. i could be pessimistic tho.

Re: 10/20: River bluff?
since u played bad on flop u can continue with it on river and try to bluff.. but its waste of money

I don't think you get looked up 100% of time, but definitely enough times to make this bluff a bad decision. It's a lag and a station!

Re: 10/20: River bluff?
I think there would have to magically be another 5BB in the pot for this to be good.

Re: 10/20: River bluff?
I know your question is on the river but that flop raise is really really bad...
peel flop and fold turn UI or just fold flop... |

Re: 10/20: River bluff?
I know it's annoying RDH, and it screams that he is betting 2 hearts, but I call the flop bet and fold the turn UI.
Let him take the small pots. If, however, I'd had AJ or some other showdown hand I would have raised the flop and checked behind on the turn. Re-evaluate on the river but he is almost certain to lead and I would almost certainly just call - even if I hit my ace or jack. |
