There is no feasable circumstance in which a judge would actually sentence someone to a lengthy prison sentence for adultery alone. So who cares..

I think this would be terrific. I find myself shaking my head at new legislation and thinking that the world is a ridiculous place all the time. Perhaps this will be extreme and absurd enough to allow others to share my view for a day.

That is just not true. I have no problem envisioning a Devout Christian Judge, or a Devout Muslim Judge, enacting this penalty to the fullest extent of the law. Since they see it as breaking one of God's commandments as well. Hell the Muslim would probably Advocate death for Adultery, that's what they do under Sharia Law.

I think most Christians make it all the way to the New Testament and learn about forgiveness and so forth.
