New tactics for US players/whores

Since the US will eventually stamp out all hope for enjoying online poker as well as bonus hunting, perhaps it is time to start some new activities in order to help offset this future loss of income.

Here are some possibilities that I'm currently pondering:

1) Collect used lottery scratch-off cards. Start collecting those state lottery cards discarded all over the ground outside convenience stations to help offset your reduced winnings during 2007. This will also increase your standings with the government since it will be apparent that you care about education.

2) Run for a political office! This is where the true whoring takes place!

3) Put those 2.8 million NETpoints to work now!

4) Coupon Clipping!

5) Answer that email you just received from that nice Nigerian prince.

6) Use your expertly honed skills in deciphering terms & conditions to start a new industry. Start a business that helps people to complete those annoying rebate forms that many consumers fail to complete.

7) Start your own country! You could even base its foundation upon liberty or perhaps the pursuit of happiness. Next, take necessary steps to insure and protect maximum tax revenues!

That "idiot" signs everything that crosses his desk. If the new idiots in control passed a repeal of last year's ban then I'm sure he would sign it as well. However, I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for either party to come to our rescue.

Well ... temporarily screwed but not doomed. The industry and the players will adapt of course. I think we can all agree that casino, sportsbook & poker bonus whoring has been a lot tougher for US players since the bill passed. The recent exit of Neteller, Pinnacle, and Citadel affirm that things aren't going to rebound soon. I think things will eventually get better, however I do lament when our government takes this kind of action.

Of course, I never thought the bill would pass in the first place so I'm not discounting the possibility that our government will continue to pursue the "evils" of on-line gaming and prolong and increase hardship for US players.
