a program to write in C/C++
Hey. I recently took a class in which I had to write programs in C. For the purposes of the class I did all my programming on campus computers using Linux. Now I want to program on my home computer but I don't have any sort of program to let me do so. any suggestions? I downloaded SciTE and liked it a lot but I can't compile or run my programs...any help appreciated.

Re: a program to write in C/C++
I assume you're using Windows, else this doesn't apply.
SciTE is just a text editor, it has no capabilities for compiling. You can download gcc and cygwin for Windows and use it to compile your code written in SciTE, but that's too cumbersome. Get VisualC++ EE for free or Visual Studio if you're willing to pay. |

Ya, I was looking to download the compiler and it just looked to complicated. I'm really not loooking to write anything complex, ill give that devcpp a look.
