If you check behind, and then make a big bet on the river, you'll get called by a jack, or even 99 or tt because it looks like you have a weak hand and C-bet the flop, then gave up and decided to try another bluff on the river.

Raise PF..Why open limp from the button w/KTo..I would make a bet on the turn of about $7.5 and prepared to fold should BB come over the top AI..But with the PF limp you could often be folding the best hand to a weaker K..Checking the turn is dangerous due to the coordinated nature of the board..

Checking the turn and value-betting the river sounds about right.
That way you keep the pot from getting larger against the fullhouses and an unlikely straight, and you make more money against weaker hands who may be willing to call a river value bet. |
